MOODBIDRI JUNE 23; Dr.krishnamurthy Hanoor , welknown stroy writer and critic in kannada, was honoured by the kanthavara kannada sangha at kananada bhavana , kaanthavara on june 23rd. Dr.Naa.Mogasale the president of kannada sangha, sponsorer Chandraakantha Padival moodbidri, convenor Suresh shetty were present. .Dr.Krishnamurthy Hanoor spoke on KUMAARA VYASANA KARNAATA BHAARATHA KATHAA MANJARI. .In addition ,Sathish Kumar , Bola,recited ( kaavya vaachana ) some of the lines from the aadiparva of said title and N.. P. Shetty Niddodi recited some of the lines of same epic episode written by himself in tulu language.

Joystick Car… By The students of “N.M.A.M. Institute of technology, Nitte”

Joystick Car…The students of “N.M.A.M. Institute of technology, Nitte” have done a joystick operated car. In this car all the traditional control elements such as steering wheel, clutch pedal, accelerator pedal and brake pedal are replaced with a mechanical based joystick which performs all the basic functions required to run a car.
They have used a Kinetic Honda (petrol) engine modified to crank up more power. This car has a pay load capacity of 365kg and travels at speed ranging from 25 to 40kms/hr.
This project was started on Feb. 2008 and completed within 3months of time.
Joystick Car is a newly developed concept of controlling a car (automobile) with a fully mechanical based Joystick.
This car has received “The Best Project Award for the year 2008” in Mechanical department during Expro-08 at our college.

Viswanath Prabhu,School commitee president Mr.C.K.PAdival,Headmistress Mrs. Padmaja,Sandeep Bhandary, Mithun .B.Shetty,Sachin Adapa,Yatheesh Shetty Harshavardhan padival were presnt in this occassion.They have distributed note books to students of Prantya Govt high school, Thodar primary school,Mijar high scholl and PU College, Shree Mahaveer college numbering more than five hundred.
