Thousand Pillar Temple at Andhra Pradesh
A Specimen Of Kakatiya Architecture :

4-km from Hanumakonda crossroad in Warangal district is the Thousand Pillar Temple, a fine specimen of 'Kakatiya' architecture and sculpture. It is the main attraction of Hanamkonda. The temple was built by 'Rudra Devi' in 1163 AD.

The temple is in shape of a star and has three shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Surya. The temple is built on a 1m high platform on the slopes of the Hanumakonda hill, and has a majestic monolithic Nandi. The black basalt Nandi, a monolith, has a lovely polished finish.

There are many small lingam shrines surrounding the gardens. The temple is famous for its richly carved pillars, screens and detailed sculpture. The atmosphere is calm and serene with the sonorous ringing of the puja bells, gentle chirping of the birds and the soothing cool breeze.

Moodbidre Sri Mahaveera college is organising two days state level seminar on communication English with University Grant commission from 26 th and 27th of September at its Campus at it's Kodangal Campus.Seminar is entitled as New vistas in the teaching -learning of communicative English Mr.T.K.Mohan Principal of the college had given the details about the conference in a press gathering here at moodbidre.Moodbidre MLA Mr.Abhayachandra Jain will inaugurate the seminar and Prof.Rajendra Chenni of Kuvempu University will deliver keynote address.
Dr.H.Shantharam, Administrative officer,the academy of general education and Registrar of A.G.E Mr.K.K.Pai will present in the inaugural session as chif guests.
Dr.Ramachandra Hegde of B.N.College Dhandeli,PrakruthiN.Banavasi of National School of Law University, Bangalore, Prof.Narayan Roa of Sri. M.V.College Badravathi are the resource persons of the seminar.

ಮೂಡುಬಿದಿರೆಯ ದವಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಸಾಹಸ ಪ್ರವ್ರತ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಕಾಲಿಕ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಆಪತ್ಭಾಂಧವ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ ೧೦ ರಂದು ಒಂದೇ ದಿನ ಎರಡು ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಸರ್ಪಗಳನ್ನು "ಡಿದು ಒಂದು ದಾಖಲೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ನಿ"ಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
"ಡಿದ ಹಾವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಊಟಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕರೆ ಣರ" ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಬಾಂದೊಟ್ಟು ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿಂದ.
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸರಕಾರೀ ಕೆಲಸದವರ ಮನೆಗೇ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು ಕಾಳಿಂಗ.
ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲೇ ಅವುಗಲನ್ನು "ಡಿದು ಅವರ ಇಚ್ಚೆಯಂತೇ ಕುದುರೇಮುಖ ಅ ಭಯಾರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಸರ್ಪ ಸರ್ವರ ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾತು. ಅಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಈ ಮೊದಲು ಮೂರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿನ ಪರಿಧಿ ದಾಟಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಯಮೂಡಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ "ಡಿದಿದ್ದರು.ಆವು ಈಗ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಿಳಿಕುಳ ನಿಸರ್ಗ ದಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡ ಬಹುದು.
ಹೆಬ್ಬಾ"ಗೆ ಹೆದರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಜನಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಈ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಮರ್ಧನ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
